A blog about me

This post will be all about Mommy, er, i mean Bridget. Identity crisis there for a second! I quit smoking. YAY me! Three weeks now. It is exciting. I just wish Adam would quit with me. I have been trying to figure out how to approach getting him to quit. I thought about giving him crap that a girl could so something he couldn't but i don't want to make him mad either.

i am going to lose 100 pounds. Ohh ho ho you say, A HUNDRED pounds??!! Yep. I have a game plan in place and right now the hardest part will be finding the time to walk. I can't take Cori with me, she is too distracting. I need total concentration to get through the physical activity part of this project. I have to get Adam on board with this as well. The pantry around here is going to be bare of bad for you snacks. I will be cooking ground turkey, fish and chicken. There will be brown rice and wheat pasta. Sugary snacks will be replaced with healthy ones. I don't want any crying whining or complaining.

Call it a midlife crisis, call it an awakening, call it whatever you want but i am getting myself and this family on track for health and happiness. Period, end of discussion.

HALLELUJAH!!!
And I'm with you! I'm losing mine in little steps... 20 by August is what I'm shooting for right now. That means only about 20 to go! :) Call Mom, too. She's ripe for some motivation..... we can all be littler by the time we come back in August. (That's August 6th, to be exact. The reunion is on the 8th, in case you need to focus...) See(less of) you soon!

Oh and CONGRATS on not smoking, Bridget! You have been working so hard on that! I hope you are very proud of yourself and happy about it. I know Cori is, or will be. And whatever you can do to get Adam to quit too....I just don't know... maybe just the challenge of being in control of something that is obviously in control of HIM will do the trick.... I have thought of so many things, but he is so stubborn. Of course you know that!
Oh, and can you take Cori with you in the stroller? Will she stay in for that long? What about your treadmill? Where there is a will, there is a way! Do it!! :)
OK, so final thought: YAY for you!!
